Smart Hanhan features a compact and plush design that focuses on emotional support rather than simple entertainment. Measuring 80 x 68 x 82 millimeters and weighing just 140 grams excluding limbs, the device combines soft plush fabric, silicone, plastic, and internal electronics to create a comfortable and engaging companion.

Huawei has equipped the device with its own Xiaoyi large-model artificial intelligence (AI) system, which supports natural, emotion-recognizing conversations. The device detects changes in tone of voice, emotional cues, and context, ensuring responses feel personal and emotionally intelligent.
Hanhan responds to sound, touch, and movement, with each type of input triggering a specific response. Touching or stroking its head changes its facial expressions, while gently shaking it causes the toy to vibrate with excitement.
The pet comes with an 1800 mAh battery, which supports 6 to 8 hours of continuous interaction. With normal daily use, the battery life can exceed 48 hours, but a full charge takes approximately six hours.
The product is compatible with smartphones running HarmonyOS 5.0 or later, including the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate X7, and Mate 80 RS. By connecting with the phone, it creates a diary system that records emotional exchanges and logs daily interactions as memory entries. Huawei also includes a three-month SVIP membership, which unlocks unlimited call “energy points” with Hanhan.
